   Legal Action to quash Abolition    March 15, 2019

Britwell Parish Council has  begun legal action to quash Order for its Abolition.

At the end of February, the Council's lawyers sent a letter to Slough BC requesting them to withdraw their Order to abolish the Council as of 1 April. At an Extraordinary Parish Council meeting on 4 March, Councillors agreed that unless Slough  BC did so, then the Parish Council would commence legal action.This was agreed by 4 in favour (Cllrs J Finn, Isernia, Murphy and Wright), with 3 abstentions (Cllrs. Anderson, Carter and Mrs J Finn).

As Slough BC would not withdraw their Order, Britwell Parish Council issued legal proceedings on 15 March against Slough BC for judicial review to quash the Abolition Order.There are 3 main grounds for the challenge:
